DIY FeedMyPaws Recipe: Bloody Halloween Pupcakes!

Hi everyone!

It's that spoooooky time of the year again! Last year I did 2 recipes: a cookie one (click HERE), and a super easy 10 minute pupcake one (click HERE). This year, I decided to do something a little more complicated, but absolutely PERFECT for parties!

On a slightly unrelated note, I can't believe it's been a year?! That was fast!

Alright, on to the recipe!

You'll need:

For Pupcakes:

  • 250g Minced Meat (I used pork)
  • 60g Vegetables of your choice (I used spinach and carrot)
  • 1 Egg
  • Cupcake Cases

For Frosting:

  • 1 Beetroot (about 200grams)
  • 200g Mashed Potato
  • 1 teaspoon flour
  • 100ml water

Before starting, preheat your oven to 150 degrees celsius.

Place all pupcake ingredients into the bowl and mix well:

Then, divide between pupcake cases and bake for 30 minutes.

While pupcakes are baking, you can prepare the "blood". That part requires lots of repetitive microwave time, so it's best to watch the video tutorial because the pictures might seem confusing. Just remember, you MUST cover your beetroot and water with a microwave-safe cling wrap when steaming. Otherwise, your entire microwave is going to be flooded with beetroot juice!

Once the "blood" is done, and your pupcakes are baked and cooled, you can begin decorating!

It's definitely the best part, haha. Check out the video tutorial above for more info! ;)
